Paula Deen Confesses That She Suffers From Type 2 Diabetes, Surprised?

During an interview on The Today Show she revealed that she has type 2 diabetes, a diagnosis that she said she received three years ago. This obviously concluded that she would have to change her normal diet which consisted of plates of bacon, layers of cheese, butter and sugar. She claims that she's always been a preacher of moderation which I have yet to find apparent in her programs.
I once watched a show where she was making peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches for her grand children. The sandwiches started off as you would normally expect, 2 slices of bread with peanut-butter and jelly lathered on both slices. This didn't satisfy Ms. Deen though, she continued by covering the outside of the sandwiches with butter and fried them. Once they were browned, she put them on a plate and covered them with brown sugar. This is her opinion of moderation.
Many have warned Ms. Deen that her dishes are too high in cholesterol and sugar and could jeopardize herself and others with diabetes, obesity, heart issues, etc. Including chef Anthony Bourdain who criticized her cooking methods and had a heated debate with her. He titled her “the worst, most dangerous person” on the Food Network. Ms. Deen defended herself in an interview with The New York Post by accusing Mr. Bourdain of elitism: “You know, not everybody can afford to pay $58 for prime rib or $650 for a bottle of wine. My friends and I cook for regular families who worry about feeding their kids and paying the bills.” Her point has nothing to do with what Bourdain is talking about. He is talking about the ingredients and quantities she is using in her cooking, not the cost. Plus, if you ever see his show No Reservations on The Travel Channel, he's constantly dining on the streets of third world countries that let's be honest, Ms. Deen would never visit.
The bottom line is, this should count as valid evidence that the way Ms. Deen cooks is destructive to your health and will guarantee your fast path to obesity and health issues. There is too much information out there to hide from the truth about fatty foods. This nation is sky-rocketing into obesity and we're becoming a joke. Get educated and do yourself some good, otherwise get ready for the insulin shots.
